AIB Seed Capital Fund

The AIB Seed Capital Fund was established in 2007 under the Seed and Venture Capital Programme 2007 – 2012 as a joint venture between Enterprise Ireland and AIB bank, in response to funding needs that had been identified in a number of government and independent reports.

Total fund size is €53m. The fund’s investments are managed by Enterprise Equity and Dublin Business Innovation Centre. In its initial investment stage, the Fund invested in 79 start-up and early stage Irish companies. In accordance with its investment mandate, the Fund closed to new applicants at the end of 2014. Our focus since then has been to support our portfolio companies with follow-on funding and professional advice to assist them in realising their potential.
